This quarter – like last quarter – was fairly light, due to working on the Third edition of the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central book and completing post-acquisition activities with The Silicon Partners.

TSP + iXerv Americas: An Exciting Future

Back in April 2021, I was thrilled to announce that The Silicon Partners (TSP) completed an acquisition of iXerv Americas, including its North America, Latin America, and Caribbean businesses. This was a highly exciting moment that reflects on the amazing work of the iXerv Americas teams over the last few years and provides an incredible path for even more success in the future.

The Backdrop

TSP (more on them later) has quickly grown into a leading niche services partner focusing on SAP S/4HANA, digital automation with UiPath, SAP iRPA, and AppOrchid, and Google Cloud Platform. With SAP’s strategy bringing greater focus on S/4HANA with SuccessFactors and with the market already well stocked with SuccessFactors partners, TSP knew that the best way to break into the SuccessFactors ecosystem was to acquire an already established and successful partner who could bring an experienced team, track record, and referenceable customers into the TSP family.

Who is TSP?

TSP is a California-based SAP services partner focused on S/4HANA, digital automation (RPA, AI and ML), and Google Cloud Platform. Despite only being 4 years old, they have grown tremendously. This should be of no surprise: the leadership team have worked together for 20+ years across several businesses. They started and grew Sparta Consulting into a $38m company in only 18 months before it was acquired by KPIT (now Birlasoft). Many of the leadership team were also key players in the growth of Rapidigm, which led to it being acquired by Fujitsu in 2006. There is a lot of pedigree in the team and, personally, I’m very excited to be around so many smart and successful people that I can learn so much from.

The Journey

Personally, I am very proud of what the iXerv Americas team has achieved in less than 5 years. What started up as two people with a passion for core HR and payroll quickly grew into a pan-continental company of 50+ employees across 6 countries. The partnership with EMEA-based iXerv Global was a fruitful one that helped create growth for both companies.

iXerv Americas started well with delivery of large SAP SuccessFactors core HR and payroll projects and helped SAP win a Workday customer. Several more successful sales pursuits were won with the expertise of iXerv Americas and many customers are now running their transformed HR processes on SAP SuccessFactors technology thanks to our team of experienced consultants. iXerv Americas is extremely grateful to all of the customers that have trusted us and given us the chance to make them successful. We look forward to welcoming more new customers into the TSP family in the future.

In parallel, TSP has had many successes of their own. They have recently completed a large complex S/4HANA 2020 migration project for an Agriculture Cooperative based in California leveraging their RPA enabled S/4HANA migration toolkit.

TSP is a successful and established partner of UiPath. Several of their RPA customers have gained tremendously from innovative suite of service offerings which include Pre-Built Bots, Test Automation Suite, and most notably Bot-as-a-Service (BaaS). TSP’s BaaS model uses Cloud-based to develop and deploy bots with advanced integration functionality and scalability.

TSP is also partnering with AppOrchid and Google Cloud to deliver AI powered solutions to Utilities across the globe. These apps help uncover hidden value from existing SAP investments within 4 to 8 weeks.

The Future

In the previous few months TSP and iXerv Americas have merged operations and begun to make use of the synergies we bring together. One area we have begun working on is building out RPA solutions for SAP SuccessFactors projects. Our initial aim is to provide solutions to accelerate implementations and streamline the effort and costs needed by TSP and by our customers during implementations.

We’ve also been working on extending our portfolio of strategic solutions:

  • CloudPlan: our offering to enable customers to plan for a HR transformation and implementation, such as measuring organizational readiness, preparing a project team, and mapping out a change management strategy.
  • CloudConversion: our HXM Move offering built around our tools and accelerators for moving customers from SAP ERP HCM to SAP SuccessFactors.
  • CloudCheck: our strategic health check and optimization services for SAP SuccessFactors.
  • CloudCare: post go-live AMS support specifically designed for the cloud.

And, of course, we’ve been working on methodologies to implement, automate, and integrate business processes with SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors to help customers become Intelligent Enterprises.

In the end, I am proud to conclude that this acquisition has truly resulted in a 1 + 1 = 3 for employees, customers, and shareholders of both the companies.
